10 Tips for First Timers

Book a room in the PACK EXPO hotel block.
Not only will you want the special rates, you’ll want to be on the shuttle bus route. And staying at a hotel with other show attendees is great for networking. The shuttle schedule will be posted under Travel+Hotel in July.

Book Hotel

Come with a plan.
You have a lot of ground to cover, so planning is a must. Use My Show Planner to search for exhibitors, products and sessions, organize your time at the show and make a personalized itinerary. On site, you can access your planner through the mobile app.

Go to My Show Planner

Prioritize and strategize.

Make one list of your “must-see” exhibitors and another of those to “try hard to see.” A few dozen to 50 suppliers is realistic. Consider focusing on one hall per day. If you are emerging brand looking to scale up, go to Map Your Show and filter the exhibitors by “Emerging Brands Friendly” that are designated by this symbol on their exhibitor listing to identify the suppliers that may have solutions to assist you.

Research Exhibitors

Leave time open for educational sessions and meeting new suppliers.

Don’t pack your schedule too full. One of the most valuable benefits of attending the show is discovering solutions you didn’t know to look for. Another is the chance to learn from people sharing their deep industry knowledge in free show floor sessions.

Use the show app—and bring a power bank for your phone.

Download the app and access My Show Planner, convention center maps, the shuttle schedule and other important event information. You’ll be using your phone all day, so be sure to bring a portable charger.

Know where various transportation drop-off points are at the LVCC.

Pick up a Show Directory onsite or check the shuttle schedule on the app for a map of drop-off/pick-up points for shuttle buses, taxis and ride-shares. The LVCC Loop is a cool and fast new way to get from the east end of South Hall to the west side of Central Hall—riding in a Tesla.

Consider taking the Las Vegas Monorail.

You can purchase a discounted monorail pass during show registration. The Monorail offers a quick and comfortable ride from the Strip to the convention center. The Boingo Station at LVCC is closest to the South and Central Halls. For North Hall, you can also use the Westgate station.

Book a scooter if needed.

Scoot around offers electric scooter rentals at the LVCC. For information and bookings, call 1-888-441-7575.

Stay through the end of the day on Wednesday.

That last day on the show floor is valuable time for circling back with exhibitors to further discuss your project, bounce around new ideas or ask new questions that came to you as you saw more of the show.

Don’t forget to pack…

Comfortable shoes and a reusable water bottle are must-haves. There are water refill stations around the convention center. And if you received your badge in the mail, please remember to bring it.

“This is my first time at PACK EXPO. The show is very comprehensive and there is so much diversity among the exhibitors. The app was very helpful and we managed to find the solutions we need.”
